A Certain Scientific Railgun: Mikoto Misaka

The headstrong, intelligent, and often short-tempered railgun of Tokiwadai. Her level five esper power allows her to control the electromagnetic force.  She can use her powers in a variety of ways, such as firing an arcade token or other metal object at high velocity, limited mind reading, preventing mind control on herself, flying over water via electrolysis, using rebar to stick to concrete walls, shocking perverted roommates, hacking a computer, and cooking rice.  Of the seven level five espers she's the only one who seems sane, and is also the only one to start out at level one.
